CTU Hub for Trials Methodology Research

As well as conducting clinical studies, CTU also develops methods to improve the design, conduct and analysis of these studies. In 2008, the MRC awarded funding to the CTU to host the MRC Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) Hub for Trials Methodology Research to increase this sort of activity. The CTU Hub is one of a network of 8 regional Hubs.

The aim of the methodological work conducted by the CTU Hub is to find solutions to problems we face in the design, conduct and analysis of our trials and other studies. We then apply these solutions in our ongoing and future studies in order to improve their quality and reliability. This also demonstrates to other researchers how to implement useful new methods in their own studies.
